adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! The charming pack – Wilma, Peach, Knäcke, Pupok, and Beverly – is searching for happiness and affection in a loving home. The five-member quartet was born in the mountains of Romania – a fate that unfortunately many stray dogs share there. Their mother was simply abandoned at night and gave birth to the sweet pack only a day later. Thankfully, the little ones can now rest in our dear animal rescuer Tina's foster home and grow up in safety. By June, it's finally time: Then Wilma can pack her little backpack and embark on the journey to a new life. How could one resist those button eyes? Wilma is a charming, delicate puppy girl with a loving nature. Currently, she is about 3 months old and is expected to grow to medium size. She spends her days with her siblings – playing, snuggling, and exploring the world together are among her favorite activities. Wilma lives in a foster home with many other dogs and has daily contact with people. This way, she is already gathering important experiences for her future life as a family dog. Since Wilma is a mixed breed, we cannot say for sure which breeds are in her. Therefore, her future family should be ready to accompany her with patience, loving consistency, and understanding on her journey. Wilma is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. Of course, she brings her EU pet passport with her. In love with Wilma? Then feel free to contact us! Many thanks Jessi! You named Wilma! Last update: 14.05.

Verliebt in Wilma? Dann meldet euch gerne! Vielen Dank Jessi! Du hast Wilma ihren Namen geschenkt! Stand: 14.05.2026 Weitere Informationen zum Thema Vorkontrolle und Schutzgebühr

About Wilma

What life with Wilma looks like

Wilma is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Wilma, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Wilma?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Wilma on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Wilma if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Wilma already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Wilma isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Wilma and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
