Otis podle dobrovolnice Lisy 05/10/25... Otis je v útulku už delší dobu a neměl dobrý začátek života, přišel s kamarádem Bruce velmi vystrašený a strachy, když vejde někdo do jeho klece, začne se třást v rohu a nelíbí se mu doteky, protože lásku nikdy nepoznal. Kvůli svému strachu a stresu z života v útulku nemohou dobrovolníci dostat jeho na procházku. Sedím s Otisem a Bruce měsíce a i když Otis už se v rohu nevrtá, nechá mě jej přejít, ale stále má ten strach, protože se zachvěje a není ještě připraven opustit svou klec na procházku. I když je prostředí hlukem a stresem plné, je Otis klidný a skromný pes. Bude hezké vidět Otise běhajícího a hrajícího si a užívajícího si lidské objetí, což je možné dosáhnout láskavým domovem s lidmi, kteří jsou trpěliví a pomohou mu vytvořit důvěru. 24/04/26 - Otis šel do parku a dnes byl lepší, když vycházel z jeho chovu.

Otis as described by volunteer Lisa 05/10/25... Otis has been in the shelter for a while now and has not had a good start to life, he came in with his buddy Bruce very petrified and fearful, he will shake in the corner if you enter his cage and did not like being touched as affection is something he has never experienced. As he is so fearful and the stress of shelter life, volunteers are unable to get him out for a walk. I have been sitting with Otis and Bruce for months now and despite Otis no longer shaking in the corner, he will let me stroke him, but he still has that fear as he will flinch and he is not ready to leave his cage for a walk yet. Despite being in an environment that is noisy, and stressful Otis is a calm and timid dog. It will be nice to see Otis running around playing and enjoying human cuddles which can be achieved with a loving home with someone that is patient to help build that trust. 24/04/26 - Otis went into the park and was better coming out of his kennel today. Approx weight 10/06/26: 26.5kgs Update from Michelle K 06/08/26: Otis. Otis has come on amazingly in the last few months. From a dog who wanted nothing to do with anyone and not leaving his kennel, he is now a very happy young boy who loves his walks and is excellent on the lead. All the volunteers who walk him love his quiet, calm personality and he is so very easy to walk. He loves all the dogs he meets and is now a very friendly and loving young boy. All he needed was time, love and patience from our wonderful volunteers and he is now ready to find his forever family who will get a wonderful companion in this very special boy. ❤️
