Otis tel que décrit par la bénévole Lisa 05/10/25... Otis est depuis un moment dans le refuge et n'a pas eu une bonne entrée dans la vie, il est arrivé avec son ami Bruce très effrayé et craintif, il tremble dans le coin si vous entrez dans sa cage et n'aime pas d'être touché car l'affection est quelque chose qu'il n'a jamais connu. Étant donné qu'il est si craintif et le stress de la vie au refuge, les bénévoles ne peuvent pas l'emmener faire une promenade. J'ai passé des mois à rester avec Otis et Bruce et malgré le fait qu'Otis ne tremble plus dans le coin, il me laisse le caresser, mais il a encore cette peur car il sursaute et n'est pas prêt à quitter sa cage pour une promenade. Malgré l'environnement bruyant et stressant, Otis est un chien calme et timide. Il serait agréable de voir Otis courir et jouer et profiter des câlinages humains, ce qui peut être réalisé dans un foyer aimant avec quelqu'un de patient pour aider à construire cette confiance. 24/04/26 - Otis est allé au parc et est sorti plus facilement de sa cage aujourd'hui.

Otis as described by volunteer Lisa 05/10/25... Otis has been in the shelter for a while now and has not had a good start to life, he came in with his buddy Bruce very petrified and fearful, he will shake in the corner if you enter his cage and did not like being touched as affection is something he has never experienced. As he is so fearful and the stress of shelter life, volunteers are unable to get him out for a walk. I have been sitting with Otis and Bruce for months now and despite Otis no longer shaking in the corner, he will let me stroke him, but he still has that fear as he will flinch and he is not ready to leave his cage for a walk yet. Despite being in an environment that is noisy, and stressful Otis is a calm and timid dog. It will be nice to see Otis running around playing and enjoying human cuddles which can be achieved with a loving home with someone that is patient to help build that trust. 24/04/26 - Otis went into the park and was better coming out of his kennel today. Approx weight 10/06/26: 26.5kgs Update from Michelle K 06/08/26: Otis. Otis has come on amazingly in the last few months. From a dog who wanted nothing to do with anyone and not leaving his kennel, he is now a very happy young boy who loves his walks and is excellent on the lead. All the volunteers who walk him love his quiet, calm personality and he is so very easy to walk. He loves all the dogs he meets and is now a very friendly and loving young boy. All he needed was time, love and patience from our wonderful volunteers and he is now ready to find his forever family who will get a wonderful companion in this very special boy. ❤️
