Otis, tal y como lo describe la voluntaria Lisa 05/10/25... Otis ha estado en el refugio durante un tiempo y no ha tenido un buen comienzo en la vida, llegó con su amigo Bruce muy asustado y temeroso, tiembla en la esquina si alguien entra a su jaula y no le gusta que lo toquen, ya que el cariño es algo que nunca ha experimentado. Debido a que es tan temeroso y al estrés de la vida en el refugio, los voluntarios no pueden sacarlo a caminar. He estado con Otis y Bruce durante meses y a pesar de que Otis ya no tiembla en la esquina, me deja acariciarlo, pero aún tiene miedo ya que se sobresalta y aún no está listo para salir de su jaula a caminar. A pesar de estar en un entorno ruidoso y estresante, Otis es un perro tranquilo y tímido. Sería maravilloso ver a Otis corriendo y jugando y disfrutando de abrazos humanos, lo cual se puede lograr con un hogar amoroso y alguien paciente que ayude a construir esa confianza. 24/04/26 - Otis fue al parque y hoy salió mejor de su jaula.

Otis as described by volunteer Lisa 05/10/25... Otis has been in the shelter for a while now and has not had a good start to life, he came in with his buddy Bruce very petrified and fearful, he will shake in the corner if you enter his cage and did not like being touched as affection is something he has never experienced. As he is so fearful and the stress of shelter life, volunteers are unable to get him out for a walk. I have been sitting with Otis and Bruce for months now and despite Otis no longer shaking in the corner, he will let me stroke him, but he still has that fear as he will flinch and he is not ready to leave his cage for a walk yet. Despite being in an environment that is noisy, and stressful Otis is a calm and timid dog. It will be nice to see Otis running around playing and enjoying human cuddles which can be achieved with a loving home with someone that is patient to help build that trust. 24/04/26 - Otis went into the park and was better coming out of his kennel today. Approx weight 10/06/26: 26.5kgs
