Otis, așa cum este descris de voluntarul Lisa 05/10/25... Otis a stat în adăpost pentru o perioadă de timp și nu a avut un început bun al vieții, a venit împreună cu prietenul său Bruce foarte speriat și temător, va tremura în colț dacă intri în cușca lui și nu îi place să fie atins, deoarece afecțiunea este ceva pe care nu l-a experimentat niciodată. Întrucât este atât de temător și stresul vieții din adăpost, voluntarii nu pot să-l ia la plimbare. Am stat alături de Otis și Bruce câteva luni acum și, deși Otis nu mai tremură în colț, îmi permite să-l scotocesc, dar încă are această frică deoarece se va sforăi și nu este gata să iasă din cușcă pentru o plimbare. În ciuda mediului zgomotos și stresant, Otis este un câine calm și timid. Va fi nice să-l vedem alergând și joacă și să-și încurajeze abilitățile de a face contact uman, ceea ce poate fi realizat prin o casă iubitoare cu cineva care este răbdător să ajute la construirea încrederii. 24/04/26 - Otis a intrat în parc și a ieșit mai bine din cușcă astăzi.

Otis as described by volunteer Lisa 05/10/25... Otis has been in the shelter for a while now and has not had a good start to life, he came in with his buddy Bruce very petrified and fearful, he will shake in the corner if you enter his cage and did not like being touched as affection is something he has never experienced. As he is so fearful and the stress of shelter life, volunteers are unable to get him out for a walk. I have been sitting with Otis and Bruce for months now and despite Otis no longer shaking in the corner, he will let me stroke him, but he still has that fear as he will flinch and he is not ready to leave his cage for a walk yet. Despite being in an environment that is noisy, and stressful Otis is a calm and timid dog. It will be nice to see Otis running around playing and enjoying human cuddles which can be achieved with a loving home with someone that is patient to help build that trust. 24/04/26 - Otis went into the park and was better coming out of his kennel today. Approx weight 10/06/26: 26.5kgs Update from Michelle K 06/08/26: Otis. Otis has come on amazingly in the last few months. From a dog who wanted nothing to do with anyone and not leaving his kennel, he is now a very happy young boy who loves his walks and is excellent on the lead. All the volunteers who walk him love his quiet, calm personality and he is so very easy to walk. He loves all the dogs he meets and is now a very friendly and loving young boy. All he needed was time, love and patience from our wonderful volunteers and he is now ready to find his forever family who will get a wonderful companion in this very special boy. ❤️
