Ο Otis όπως περιγράφεται από την εθελοντή Lisa 05/10/25... Ο Otis έχει στη φροντίδα για αρκετό καιρό τώρα και δεν έχει ξεκινήσει καλά τη ζωή του, ήρθε με το φίλο του Bruce πολύ φοβισμένος και φοβερός, θα τρέμει στο γωνιακό αν εισέλθει κάποιος στη θήκη του και δεν του αρέσει να το αγγίξουν, αφού το θαρρείς δεν έχει ξεπεράσει ποτέ. Επειδή είναι τόσο φοβισμένος και το στρες της ζωής στη φροντίδα, οι εθελοντές δεν μπορούν να το βγάλουν για περίπατο. Έχω καθιστεί μαζί του και του Bruce για μήνες τώρα και παρά το γεγονός ότι ο Otis δεν τρέμει πια στο γωνιακό, θα μου αφήσει να τον ξεμυτίσω, αλλά ακόμα έχει αυτόν τον φόβο, αφού θα χαλαρώσει και δεν είναι έτοιμος να βγει από τη θήκη του για περίπατο. Παρά το γεγονός ότι είναι σε ένα περιβάλλον που είναι θορυβώδες και στρεσογόνο, ο Otis είναι ένας ήρεμος και απρόθυμος σκύλος. Θα ήταν ωραίο να δεις τον Otis να τρέχει και να παίζει και να απολαμβάνει τις αγκαλιές των ανθρώπων, κάτι που μπορεί να επιτευχθεί σε ένα αγαπητό σπίτι με κάποιον που είναι υπομονετικός για να βοηθήσει να κατασκευάσει αυτή την εμπιστοσύνη. 24/04/26 - Ο Otis πήγε στο πάρκο και ήρθε καλύτερα από τη θήκη του σήμερα.

Otis as described by volunteer Lisa 05/10/25... Otis has been in the shelter for a while now and has not had a good start to life, he came in with his buddy Bruce very petrified and fearful, he will shake in the corner if you enter his cage and did not like being touched as affection is something he has never experienced. As he is so fearful and the stress of shelter life, volunteers are unable to get him out for a walk. I have been sitting with Otis and Bruce for months now and despite Otis no longer shaking in the corner, he will let me stroke him, but he still has that fear as he will flinch and he is not ready to leave his cage for a walk yet. Despite being in an environment that is noisy, and stressful Otis is a calm and timid dog. It will be nice to see Otis running around playing and enjoying human cuddles which can be achieved with a loving home with someone that is patient to help build that trust. 24/04/26 - Otis went into the park and was better coming out of his kennel today. Approx weight 10/06/26: 26.5kgs Update from Michelle K 06/08/26: Otis. Otis has come on amazingly in the last few months. From a dog who wanted nothing to do with anyone and not leaving his kennel, he is now a very happy young boy who loves his walks and is excellent on the lead. All the volunteers who walk him love his quiet, calm personality and he is so very easy to walk. He loves all the dogs he meets and is now a very friendly and loving young boy. All he needed was time, love and patience from our wonderful volunteers and he is now ready to find his forever family who will get a wonderful companion in this very special boy. ❤️
