Arthur

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 2 years

Meet Arthur – A Pocket Rocket with Endless Energy If you're looking for a rabbit who believes life should be lived at full speed, Arthur might just be your perfect match. Arthur is an incredibly active, confident, and entertaining young rabbit who approaches every day with enthusiasm and determination. Whether he's racing around his enclosure, launching himself into spectacular binkies, or investigating absolutely everything happening around him, Arthur always seems to be on the go. In fact, sitting still appears to be one of the few skills he hasn't quite mastered. His binkies deserve a special mention. Arthur doesn't simply hop for joy — he throws himself into the air with impressive commitment, often using the walls of his enclosure to gain extra speed and distance. Watching him zoom around and express his excitement is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face, and it's clear that this energetic little rabbit loves making the most of every inch of space available to him. Arthur is also an extremely curious rabbit who likes to be involved in whatever is happening around him. Every time we walk past his enclosure, he comes racing over to the door to say hello, often standing up eagerly to see what we're doing and whether there might be treats, toys, or adventures involved. He enjoys human company and is always keen to investigate, although much of the time he's far more interested in exploring than sitting still for fuss. While Arthur is an outgoing rabbit, he can still be slightly cautious about being stroked. He has accepted gentle head rubs when he's in the mood, but more often than not he would rather be busy exploring, climbing, or seeing if he can use his carers as a convenient launching platform for his next adventure. Arthur is wonderfully clean within his accommodation, consistently using his kennel as a toilet, and he has an excellent appetite for hay. He also loves enrichment and particularly enjoys destroying his toys. Willow balls don't tend to last very long in Arthur's care, as he quickly sets about dismantling them with great enthusiasm. One thing Arthur feels very strongly about is keeping all four paws firmly on the ground. Like many rabbits, he dislikes being picked up and will kick if handled, so his future family will need to respect his boundaries and interact with him at his level whenever possible. We don't know Arthur's exact age or background, but we believe he is still a young rabbit and unlikely to be more than two years old. What Arthur Needs Arthur is looking for a forever home where he can be bonded with a suitable female rabbit and enjoy the companionship every rabbit deserves. Because of his incredibly athletic nature, we feel Arthur would be best suited to a secure outdoor home with plenty of space to run, jump, explore, and burn off his seemingly endless energy. We strongly suspect that if given free rein of a house, Arthur would spend much of his time attempting to reach every surface he could possibly climb onto. His future home should therefore be designed with an active, adventurous rabbit very much in mind. Arthur will thrive with guardians who appreciate rabbits for who they are, understand that not every rabbit enjoys extensive strokes, and are happy to let him interact on his own terms while providing plenty of enrichment opportunities. Could You Keep Up with Arthur? Arthur is the sort of rabbit who fills every day with activity, character, and entertainment. From his dramatic binkies to his constant curiosity and boundless enthusiasm for life, he has a wonderful personality that is impossible to ignore. If you have the space, understanding, and suitable female companion that Arthur is looking for, you'll gain a rabbit who will keep you smiling with his antics and remind you every day just how joyful rabbits can be when given the opportunity to thrive. About Arthur

What life with Arthur looks like

Arthur is a young adult mixed breed rabbit waiting at Nibbles Rodent and Rabbit Rescue in United Kingdom.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Arthur, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Arthur?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Nibbles Rodent and Rabbit Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Arthur on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Arthur if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Nibbles Rodent and Rabbit Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Arthur already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most rabbits on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Arthur isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Nibbles Rodent and Rabbit Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Arthur and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
