Adopt Arush

Belgian Malinois · Male · Adult · 5 years

08.03.2026 Arush is a wonderful, intact Malinois male dog. His owner found him as a puppy on the streets in Italy and later brought Arush with his owner to Switzerland. Toward his people, Arush is very clingy. He is a loyal and sensitive dog who builds a strong bond with the person who cares for him, and here he shows his best self. It is impossible not to love him. Because his owner's life situation has changed, we are looking for a new home for Arush. Toward strangers, including children, Arush is open and friendly. Arush has a basic obedience and reacts cooperatively to the commands he has learned. Breed-wise, Arush is very intelligent and hardworking. He loves active walks, search games, and all activities that allow him to constructively release his energy. Arush is an eternal puppy and plays happily all the time. In the house, Arush can relax well. He is accustomed to a daily routine and adjusts well if he gets enough physical activity and mental stimulation. During encounters with other dogs, Arush needs attentive, safe, and consistent handling because he can be reactive with other male dogs. For this reason, we also wish for a new home without other pets. We wish for Arush very experienced dog people who have already led a working-dog breed, or a corresponding family with children aged 10 years and older who are familiar with dog handling. His new people need enough time and willingness to continue working with him so they can give him the necessary security and calm guidance. Arush is fully vaccinated (rabies and combo shot) and intact. Would you like to meet the wonderful Arush? In that case, we look forward to your contact.

About Arush

What life with Arush looks like

Arush is a adult belgian malinois dog waiting at Tierhilfe Arme Pfoten in Arme Pfoten.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Arush, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Arush?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierhilfe Arme Pfoten handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Arush on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Arush if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierhilfe Arme Pfoten will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Arush already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Arush isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierhilfe Arme Pfoten early rather than rehoming privately; they know Arush and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
