Astronelle

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Who am I? Hello, my name is Astronelle! I can see that when people look at me they seem sad... I hear them say "Oh! Poor little heart." I don't understand why, I am happy. I even think I'm lucky. First of all, I was born at the veterinarian's, the day they took my wild mom to be spayed. We were very lucky! A little more and you wouldn't have had the chance to know me! But then, my mom was very sick with cat flu. So the veterinarian and nanny decided not to leave my sisters and me with her. It was our only chance to survive. So nanny took care of us day and night. She fed us and spoiled us as much as she could to give us a chance to become big little cats! And there we go! We are big now. My sisters are doing very well and have found families for life, but what about me? No one wants me? Maybe because I'm a bit special? A few weeks ago I had a lot of fever. In fact, I got an abscess on my back foot. It hurt me a lot! My nannies were very scared for me! And in fact, it never completely heals, and my other joints have become a bit too loose. They said I have arthritis. And then the fever damaged my brain. So now I have a tilted head. Ba... it's not serious, it's to see straight! Maybe it will get better, maybe not... we don't know. But then? Does that mean I don't deserve a family? Because I'm a bit crooked, I don't have the right to be cuddled in warm arms in front of the TV, to play in a beautiful house, to share the life of humans who would have chosen me, like my sisters? It's true that I'm not ordinary... But nanny says I'm extraordinary... So? Who will want me, Astronelle the extraordinary little cat? Do you want to adopt me?

Je me trouve même chanceuse. D’abord. On l’a échappé belle! About Astronelle

What life with Astronelle looks like

Astronelle is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at CAT in chabris.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Astronelle, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Astronelle?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. CAT handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Astronelle on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Astronelle if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — CAT will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Astronelle already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Astronelle isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with CAT early rather than rehoming privately; they know Astronelle and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
