Cher

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 10 months

Cher is a very watchful and territorial female dog - she definitely won't let strangers on her territory. She handles a leash very well, there are moments when she pulls forward, but when she feels the leash tighten, she slows down on her own. When approached calmly, she allows to be petted and gives kisses. We are sure that many of her behaviors can be worked on. She may show aggression - she doesn't like when something is done near her, for example putting on a collar or trying to brush her, she then runs to the person with her teeth. Of course, this is more of a way to scare than an attempt to bite, but someone who doesn't know her well may think she is aggressive. Not suitable for a home with children. For her, the best would be a house with a garden where she can guard. Weight: 29 kg leash: yes Relationship with dogs: positive She has been spayed, dewormed, treated for fleas, vaccinated, microchipped, registered in the Safe Animal database. The dog is located at: animal shelter Funny Pets in Czartki Czartki 49b, 98-200 Sieradz powiat sieradzki, woj.

PL·Show original

Psiak przebywa w: Schronisko Funny Pets w Czartkach Czartki 49b, 98-200 Sieradz powiat sieradzki, woj. łódzkie 43 828 36 46 - ogólny

About Cher

What life with Cher looks like

Cher is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cher, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cher?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cher on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cher if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Cher already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cher isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cher and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
