Honden ter adoptie

Male · Puppy · 4 months

This is Lamby 💙Lamby is a puppy with an estimated birthdate of January 2026. He is a small dog. 🐾 Along with his two brothers, he was found in the Romanian village Haieu, where they wandered the streets alone. Fortunately, they are now safely sheltered at the SOS Dogs Romania animal shelter. ❤️ For all three brothers, the same applies in terms of character: they are cheerful, playful, affectionate and incredibly cute. 🥰 They enjoy cuddles, attention and playing with each other and other dogs. 🐕 Since Lamby is still young, he obviously has a lot to learn. With patience, love and guidance, he will grow into an amazing companion. ✨ Lamby is still in Romania and can come to the Netherlands if an owner is found for him. If you are interested in Lamby, we would appreciate a message with your living and work situation and any experience you have with dogs. After an intake conversation, if it turns out you are a match, an appointment can be made to pick him up at our small shelter in Didam. Lamby is The adoption fee is € 390,-. This is a contribution towards the costs such as spaying/neutering, the trip to the Netherlands, European pet passport, chip and vaccinations. About Honden ter adoptie

What life with Honden ter adoptie looks like

Honden ter adoptie is a small puppy/kitten dog waiting at SOS Dogs Nederland in NN Didam.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Honden ter adoptie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Honden ter adoptie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SOS Dogs Nederland handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Honden ter adoptie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Honden ter adoptie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SOS Dogs Nederland will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Honden ter adoptie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Honden ter adoptie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SOS Dogs Nederland early rather than rehoming privately; they know Honden ter adoptie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
