Jenny (männlich) &#8211

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Jenny must be given up due to personal reasons, but she can stay in her current home—where she currently shares her space with her brother Benny—for the time being, until she can be rehomed. Jenny is open and people-oriented, but she doesn’t trust everyone right away. It may take a while for her to build trust with unfamiliar people, but then she blossoms. Jenny grew up without many rules, was rather spoiled, and was allowed a lot of freedom in her upbringing. Therefore, she needs people who can show her patience and understanding, especially if she occasionally gets loud or needs time to adjust to her new situation. She gets along well with fellow animals. Jenny is vaccinated, microchipped, and will be rehomed. If you are interested in our dogs and would like to meet them informally, please apply using the button below, and we will get in touch with you as soon as possible. We appreciate your understanding if the processing of your request takes a little longer. We do our best to respond as soon as possible, but it may happen that we receive many inquiries at once or that our resources are temporarily needed elsewhere.

DE·Show original

About Jenny (männlich) &#8211

What life with Jenny (männlich) &#8211 looks like

Jenny (männlich) &#8211 is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzbund Basel Regional.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jenny (männlich) &#8211, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jenny (männlich) &#8211?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzbund Basel Regional handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jenny (männlich) &#8211 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jenny (männlich) &#8211 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzbund Basel Regional will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jenny (männlich) &#8211 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jenny (männlich) &#8211 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzbund Basel Regional early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jenny (männlich) &#8211 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
