Adopt Jesi

Belgian Malinois · Female · Puppy · 8 months

24.05.2026 Welcome to Switzerland, dear Jesi. Jesi is a wonderful, small, and delicate Mali female dog. It's clear that she has not only had good experiences with people, and thus she is initially very reserved but her curiosity is quite large and she keeps trying to make contact. Traveling to Switzerland with Bamba certainly helped her, and now she shares a enclosure with her. She looks forward to all fellow animals and takes cues from them, so we could easily imagine her being an ideal second dog. In Spain, we also tested Jesi with cats, so we know she could also get along with dog-friendly cats. We sincerely wish Jesi to find her people soon and make only good experiences with them in the future. 29.04.2026 This approximately 7-month-old Malinois female dog did not have an easy start in life. She was found with a broken leg, and since the injury was already severely infected, the leg had to be amputated. The young female dog is rather small and delicate. She gets along well with other dogs and shows herself to be friendly and social in interactions with fellow animals. Towards people, she is initially somewhat suspicious, but once she has gained trust, she displays her affectionate nature. For her, we are looking for an active, breed-typical home that can teach her all about being a dog and both physically and mentally challenge her.

About Jesi

What life with Jesi looks like

Jesi is a large puppy/kitten belgian malinois dog waiting at Tierhilfe Arme Pfoten in Arme Pfoten.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jesi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jesi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierhilfe Arme Pfoten handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jesi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jesi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierhilfe Arme Pfoten will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jesi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jesi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierhilfe Arme Pfoten early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jesi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
