Adopt Kochaś

Mixed Breed · Male

Kochaś is a small, old gentleman with a big heart who came under our care after an intervention at one of the shelters. Despite ten years on his back and a history of difficult experiences, this little dog has retained an extraordinary calm and a friendship for the whole world. His name is not coincidental – he is a dog who loves people and greets everyone with great friendship. In the shelter Kochaś is known as a very calm and easygoing dog. He is a low-activity homebody who values peace above all. In the premises he maintains impeccable cleanliness, does not destroy anything and does not make noise when the caregiver is away. On walks he feels confident, is not afraid of city noise and gets along well with most dogs. Although generally friendly, he can clearly set boundaries if another dog invades his space. We are looking for a quiet home for him, preferably with someone who is looking for a steady companion for slow walks and relaxed time on the couch. Kochaś is the ideal dog for someone who values peace – a small friend who will bring lots of warmth and unconditional love into the home. — METRYCZKA — 🧮 Age: 01.2016 🚻 Gender: male 🐾 Size:7,9 kg 🏀 Activity: low ❤️ neutering: yes ℹ️ Chip: yes 💉 Vaccinations: yes 📍 Place of residence:

Mimo dziesięciu lat na karku i bagażu trudnych doświadczeń, ten mały kruszyn zachował niezwykłą pogodę ducha i sympatię do całego świata. About Kochaś

What life with Kochaś looks like

Kochaś is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kochaś, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kochaś?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kochaś on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kochaś if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kochaś already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kochaś isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kochaś and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
