Year of Birth: 2022 When MARCELKA arrived at the animal shelter, it was hard not to cry looking at her. She was in a tragic state—emaciated, with lumps on her chin and oozing wounds. Everything pointed to the fact that she might have been beaten. Her body bore the marks of immense suffering, and fear was evident in her eyes, which couldn't be hidden. Looking at her, one could only wonder what such a terrible thing could have happened to her. Yet, MARCELKA did not stop loving humans. Despite the pain and fear, she approached from the very first moments, barking, shooting firecrackers, and snuggling into a hand, as if with her tiny little heart she was only asking for a little warmth and safety. As if desperately wanting to believe that a human could be good. Only here did she slowly begin to come back to life. Her wounds healed, peace appeared in her eyes, and instead of a small skeleton, we see today a delicate kitten who tries to trust the world anew every day. She still needs to gain weight and strength, but the hardest battle she has already won. MARCELKA still fears sudden movements and noises. Sometimes she curls up as if expecting another blow. Perhaps for her entire life, she had to fight for survival. Perhaps she had never known safety or care before. Today, we dream of only one thing—so that MARCELKA never has to be afraid again. So that she finds a human who will show her that from now on, she can sleep peacefully, well-fed, safe, and loved.

Rok urodzenia: 2022 Kiedy Marcelka trafiła do schroniska, trudno było patrzeć na nią bez łez. Była w tragicznym stanie — wychudzona, z guzami na pyszczku i ropiejącymi ranami. Wszystko wskazuje na to, że mogła zostać pobita. Jej ciało nosiło ślady ogromnego cierpienia, a w oczach było widać strach, którego nie da się udawać. Patrząc na nią, można było tylko zastanawiać się, co tak strasznego musiało ją spotkać. A jednak Marcelka nie przestała kochać człowieka. Mimo bólu i lęku już od pierwszych chwil podchodziła, strzelała baranki i wtulała się w rękę, jakby całym swoim małym serduszkiem prosiła tylko o trochę ciepła i bezpieczeństwa. Jakby desperacko chciała uwierzyć, że człowiek może być dobry. Dopiero u nas zaczęła powoli wracać do życia. Rany się zagoiły, w jej oczach pojawił się spokój, a zamiast małego szkieletu widzimy dziś delikatną koteczkę, która każdego dnia próbuje zaufać światu na nowo. Nadal musi nabrać ciałka i sił, ale najtrudniejszą walkę już wygrała. Marcelka wciąż boi się nagłych ruchów i hałasów. Czasem kuli się, jakby spodziewała się kolejnego ciosu. Być może przez całe życie musiała walczyć o przetrwanie. Być może nigdy wcześniej nie zaznała bezpieczeństwa ani troski. Dziś marzymy tylko o jednym — żeby Marcelka już nigdy nie musiała się bać. Żeby znalazła człowieka, który pokaże jej, że od teraz może spać spokojnie, najedzona, bezpieczna i kochana.
