But this brave lady showed incredible resilience — and now it's time for her to get the warmth and peace she's missed for so many years. Ofelia is an energetic but distracted grandma, a dog with a soft soul and a surprisingly cheerful attitude. She enjoys walking quietly, sniffing and making contact, but just as much she loves to snuggle up in her bed to nap for hours. She is friendly, social and gets along well with other dogs. She has mild leishmania, for which she is currently being treated, and mild kidney problems that are probably a result of this disease. With the right follow-up and loving care, Ofelia can still look forward to beautiful, comfortable years. Ofelia deserves a home where she feels safe, where she can move at her own pace, enjoy and finally receive care that suits her age.
