Sonia is a wonderful, very people-oriented female dog of the shepherd breed type. At first, she can be somewhat reserved around strangers, but she opens up really quickly. When she sees familiar people, she practically jumps for joy. She’s full of energy—her tail is constantly wagging, and she comes running happily at the sound of her name. On the exercise yard, she can occupy herself, yet she keeps an alert eye on where her human is. On walks, she walks loosely on the leash, ahead of her human, stopping every few minutes to make sure she’s really following. Long walks in the forest bring her the greatest joy, but most importantly, she’s not scared of the world—traffic, bicycles, or trains don’t faze her at all. Going out of the exercise yard is incredibly exciting for her; filled with joy at the thought of going for a walk, she grabs onto the leash—but she responds instantly to the command “let go,” or she’ll happily redirect her excitement into playing tug-of-war, which she absolutely loves. Indoors, Sonia knows how to calm down, relax peacefully, and enjoys coming over for petting or lying together on the couch. She barks from afar at other dogs, but ignores them when in close contact. Walking alongside another dog didn’t pose any problem for her. We’re looking for a home for Sonia that is: – patient and provides enough space for her to build trust – free of small children and other pets – ready to give her plenty of physical activity.

Sonia to wspaniała, bardzo proludzka suczka w typie owczarka. Na początku bywa nieco wycofana wobec obcych, ale naprawdę szybko się otwiera. Na widok znanych osób aż skacze ze szczęścia. Jest pełna energii, cały czas macha ogonem i przybiega uradowana na zawołanie. Na wybiegu potrafi się zająć sobą, ale cały czas czujnie zerka, gdzie jest człowiek. Na spacerze idzie na luźnej smyczy przed człowiekiem, co kilka minut zatrzymując się i upewniając się, czy na pewno idzie za nią. Długie spacerki w lesie sprawiają jej największą przyjemność, ale co najważniejsze, świat jej nie przeraża – ruch uliczny, rowery czy pociągi nie robią na niej żadnego wrażenia. Wychodzenie z wybiegu jest dla niej bardzo emocjonujące i z radości, że idzie na spacer, chwyta za smycz, ale błyskawicznie reaguje na komendę „puść” lub chętnie przekierowuje emocje na zabawę szarpakiem, którą uwielbia. W pomieszczeniach Sonia potrafi się wyciszyć, spokojnie odpoczywać i z przyjemnością przychodzi po głaskanie lub wspólne leżenie na kanapie. Inne psy z daleka obszczekuje, ale w bliskich kontaktach ignoruje je. Spacer równoległy z innym psem nie sprawił jej problemu.
