Adopt WEDEL

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 5 years

We are looking for a loving home for Wedel! Meet Wedel - a cute, older dog who, despite his age, is still full of energy and joy! His cheerful and friendly nature makes every day with him better. He loves the company of people, including children, and always greets everyone with great enthusiasm. Moreover, Wedel also has a positive attitude towards other dogs, which makes him get along well with his four-legged friends. Wedel also has a big weakness for treats - a few cookies can steal his heart! He is well-behaved during all grooming procedures, calm on walks, and loves to accompany a person in daily moments. Despite his age, he has a lot of energy and warmth that he will gladly bring to a new home. The description is written based on observations of the dog at the animal shelter. We do not guarantee how his behavior will change at home. Wedel is under the care of OTOZ Animals animal shelter in Tczew. Wedel is vaccinated, chipped, dewormed and neutered. About WEDEL

What life with WEDEL looks like

WEDEL is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at OTOZ Animals — Schronisko w Tczewie in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting WEDEL, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about WEDEL?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. OTOZ Animals — Schronisko w Tczewie handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw WEDEL on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt WEDEL if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — OTOZ Animals — Schronisko w Tczewie will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is WEDEL already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if WEDEL isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with OTOZ Animals — Schronisko w Tczewie early rather than rehoming privately; they know WEDEL and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
