Zeus was seized by the Veterinary Service of Lucerne, and the animal shelter at Ron is supporting the Lucerne Veterinary Office in finding a new home for Zeus. On July 2, 2026, Zeus received a hormone implant (chemical castration). Zeus is a very people-oriented and lovable male dog who still has a few playful quirks. Therefore, we are looking for future owners who will guide him consistently yet lovingly and provide him with the necessary guidance and structure. The handsome fellow already knows the basic commands. However, he still finds it difficult to concentrate for extended periods and repeatedly tries to evade the exercises. For this reason, it is important to continue training him consistently from the very beginning in order to strengthen his attention and basic obedience. At present, Zeus unfortunately doesn't get along particularly well with other dogs. Previously, however, he lived without any problems alongside a female dog. We therefore assume that a relaxed interaction with other dogs could certainly become possible again—with appropriate training and careful introduction. In contrast, Zeus always shows himself to be friendly and open toward people. He thoroughly enjoys long sessions of petting and playtime and is delighted by any form of shared activity. Zeus wurde vom Veterinärdienst Luzern beschlagnahmt und das Tierheim an der Ron unterstützt das Veterinäramt Luzern bei der Platzierung von Zeus. Zeus hat am 02.07.2026 ein Hormonimplantat (chemische Kastration) erhalten. Zeus ist ein sehr menschenbezogener und liebenswerter Rüde, der noch einige Flausen im Kopf hat. Deshalb wünschen wir uns für ihn zukünftige Halter*innen, die ihn konsequent, aber liebevoll führen und ihm die nötige Orientierung geben. Die Grundkommandos beherrscht der hübsche Kerl bereits. Allerdings fällt es ihm noch schwer, sich länger zu konzentrieren, und er versucht immer wieder, sich den Übungen zu entziehen. Daher sollte von Anfang an konsequent mit ihm weiter trainiert werden, um seine Aufmerksamkeit und seinen Grundgehorsam zu festigen. Mit Artgenossen versteht Zeus sich derzeit leider nicht besonders gut. Früher lebte er jedoch problemlos mit einer Hündin zusammen. Deshalb gehen wir davon aus, dass ein entspannter Kontakt zu anderen Hunden mit entsprechendem Training und einer sorgfältigen Zusammenführung durchaus wieder möglich sein kann. Menschen gegenüber zeigt sich Zeus hingegen stets freundlich und aufgeschlossen. Er geniesst ausgiebige Streichel- und Spieleinheiten und freut sich über jede Form der gemeinsamen Beschäftigung.
