Adopt Bela

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Bela is a self-centered, intelligent, and courageous female who used to live in a settlement as the leader of a dog pack. The harsh conditions gave her a strong and relentless nature, but at the same time he can enjoy comfort, warmth, and a full belly without struggle. She is about 4 years old and will be an ideal companion for an active person. She loves movement, long walks, hiking and aporting, and she likes to keep her bright head busy. Bela has excellent hygiene habits, copes with loneliness, does not destroy things or bark unnecessarily. He drives the car without problems and enjoys it. A new home can also go to a submissive dog in a house with a garden, with access inside. However, it is not suitable for smaller animals, poultry or cats. Bela is healthy, laced and castrated and is ready to find her real home.

Bela je svojská, inteligentná a odvážna fenka, ktorá v minulosti žila v osade ako vodca psej svorky. Tvrdé podmienky jej dali silnú a neústupčivú povahu, no zároveň si dnes vie užívať pohodlie, teplo a plné bruško bez boja. Má približne 4 roky a bude ideálnou spoločníčkou pre aktívneho človeka. Miluje pohyb, dlhé prechádzky, turistiku aj aportovanie a rada zamestná aj svoju bystrú hlavu. Bela má výborné hygienické návyky, zvláda samotu, neničí veci ani zbytočne nešteká. Jazdu autom zvláda bez problémov a užíva si ju.

About Bela

What life with Bela looks like

Bela is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Karanténna stanica Pezinok in Pezinok.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇸🇰Adopting from Slovakia

Slovak rescue groups coordinate cross-border transport with European partners. Animals are chipped and vaccinated; sterilization is often included for adults and arranged post-adoption for puppies/kittens.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bela, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bela?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Karanténna stanica Pezinok handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bela on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bela if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Karanténna stanica Pezinok will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bela already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bela isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Karanténna stanica Pezinok early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bela and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (SK). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
