Elroki, a beautiful long-haired German Shepherd, was found in an unoccupied garden, trapped in a cage with no bedding, covered in a thick layer of feces, with no food or water bowls. The cage was covered with a thick, almost air-tight carpet (it was sweltering in Latvia at the time) to prevent anyone from noticing the dog. Only the dog's whimpering alerted passersby. No, Elroki was not abandoned to a certain death. He was kept by breeders. Moreover, at the time of his discovery, an advertisement for his son was active online, offering him for sale. Most likely, it was the same puppy Teo, who had been found in the same garden a few days earlier, was just as dirty and smelly, and is now in his new home. Elroki was chipped and registered; the PVD started an investigation, but we have no information on its progress. The shelter was given a decision: Elroki can look for a new home. Currently, the dog looks a bit "stained" - the layer of feces had become so ingrained in his beautiful coat that it could not be washed or combed out, so it had to be shaved off. Elroki's beauty can only be admired from the front for now, while the bald rear spoils all his dignity. Fortunately, this is a temporary misfortune! Elroki is looking for a family that will love, cherish, and adore him. He is a very sociable, people-oriented kind-hearted dog who loves walks, games, and cuddling. The dog has never shown the slightest sign of aggression, has not growled or otherwise indicated that something was bothering him. Therefore, a family with experience in dog training can also have children. Elroki will not be suitable for life outdoors - he is looking for a home as a friend, companion, and full-fledged family member.

Garspalvainā vācu aitu suņa skaistuli Elroki atrada neapdzīvotos mazdārziņos, iesprostotu būrī, kurā nekas nebija ieklāts — vien bieza izkārnījumu kārta, bez ūdens un ēdiena bļodām… Turklāt būris bija pārklāts ar biezu, gaisu teju necaurlaidīgu paklāju (tajās dienās Latvijā valdīja tveice), lai neviens suni nepamanītu. Tikai suņa smilkstēšana garāmgājējus darīja aizdomīgus… Elroki nebija pamests lēnai nāvei. Tā suni turēja vairotāji, kuri tieši tobrīd sludinājumu portālā aktīvi pārdeva it kā viņa nevakcinētos un nečipētos kucēnus, obligāto prasību norādīt suņubērnu mikročipu piesedzot ar tēva čipa numuru. Viens no kucēniem arī nejauši tika atrasts, vien tobrīd vēl nebija zināms, ka turpat netālu sprostā nīkst viņa tētis. Šobrīd Elroki izskatās nedaudz “nošņurcis” — mēslu kārta, guļot paša izkārnījumos, bija tā ievēlusies krāšņajā kažokā, ka to ne izmazgāt, ne izķemmēt, tāpēc nācās noskūt. Elroki skaistumu pagaidām var izbaudīt no priekšpuses, kamēr paplikais pakaļgals nedaudz bojā visu viņa cēlumu. Par laimi, tā ir pārejoša nelaimīte! Elroki meklējam ģimeni, kurā viņu mīlēs, lolos un dievinās. Viņš ir ļoti komunikabls, uz cilvēku orientēts labsirdis, kurš dievina pastaigas, spēles un mīļošanos. Suns ne reizi nav izrādījis ne mazākās agresijas pazīmes, nav uzrūcis vai kā citādi licis manīt, ka kaut kas nepatīk, tādēļ ģimenē ar suņu audzināšanas pieredzi var būt arī bērni. Elroki nebūs piemērots dzīvei tikai ārā — viņš meklē mājas kā savu cilvēku draugs, kompanjons un pilntiesīgs ģimenes loceklis.
