Hi! I'm King Arthur. The 47 kilo cuddly machine that sometimes gets mistaken for a small bulldozer. Don't worry, I mean it all affectionately… I'm just a bit… present. I used to have a home, but they couldn't properly take care of me and my family. That wasn't so great. But good news: I now live at DOA and here I feel like I'm on top of the world! I'm back to being myself: cheerful, a bit crazy, and loving company. New people can sometimes be a little daunting. Not scary-scary, more like: "Hmm, let's see who you are." I'm just a bit shy. But if you give me a quiet sniff, I'll soon think: "Oh! You're nice!" And then… well, then you're the star. Because I really, really love cuddles. And I'm really good at it. Maybe a bit too good. I like to crawl on your lap. Or snuggle against you. Or half on top of you. See, in my head, I'm just a little puppy… the fact that I weigh 47 kilos isn't something I get too worked up about. I hope you don't either. Playing is also super fun! I've learned here that there's such a thing as a ball and a frisbee. What you do with them exactly? No idea. But if you wave or throw them, I'll join in enthusiastically! For me, the game is all about: you + me = togetherness. So I'll jump, hop, and make my best play bow (it's really impressive, I do say so myself). So yeah… I'm Archie. Big, a bit clumsy, a bit shy at first, but mainly a huge cuddle-butt that just wants to do everything together. Come meet me sometime?

Hoi! Ik ben King Arthur. De 47 kilo wegende knuffelmachine die soms per ongeluk wordt aangezien voor een kleine bulldozer. Geen zorgen hoor, ik bedoel het allemaal lief… ik ben gewoon een beetje… aanwezig. Vroeger had ik een huisje, maar daar konden ze helaas niet goed voor mij en mijn familie zorgen. Dat was niet zo fijn. Maar goed nieuws: ik woon nu bij DOA en hier voel ik me weer helemaal top! Ik ben weer lekker mezelf: vrolijk, een beetje gek en dol op gezelligheid. Nieuwe mensen vind ik soms nog een klein beetje spannend. Niet eng-eng hoor, meer zo van: “hmm, even kijken wie jij bent.” Ik ben eigenlijk gewoon een beetje verlegen. Maar als je me even rustig laat snuffelen, dan denk ik al snel: “Oh! Jij bent leuk!” En dan… ja, dan ben je de pineut. Want ik hou dus écht van knuffelen. En ik ben daar héél goed in. Misschien een beetje té goed. Ik kruip namelijk graag op schoot. Of tegen je aan. Of half boven op je. Kijk, in mijn hoofd ben ik gewoon een klein hondje… dat ik 47 kilo weeg is een detail waar ik zelf niet zo moeilijk over doe. Jij hopelijk ook niet Spelen vind ik ook superleuk! Ik heb hier geleerd dat er zoiets bestaat als een bal en een flostouw. Wat je daar precies mee moet doen? Geen idee. Maar als jij ermee gaat zwaaien of gooien, doe ik enthousiast mee! Voor mij gaat het spel vooral zo: jij + ik = gezelligheid. Dan ga ik springen, huppelen en maak ik mijn allerbeste spelboog (die is echt indrukwekkend, al zeg ik het zelf). Dus ja… ik ben Archie. Groot, een tikje onhandig, een beetje verlegen in het begin, maar vooral een enorme knuffelkont die gewoon heel graag samen gek doet. Kom je een keer kennismaken?
