Lilī

Female · Young · 3 years

A medium-sized pug, whose wrinkles could easily be mistaken for a kitten's cheeks, was found on the street. The registry showed that her owner had passed away. The kind-hearted person who found her knew where the pug had previously lived and where she had been taken in her last days. Former neighbors had also seen the pug wandering alone, and she had even had puppies. Both previous owners and the current pug sitters had often been friends with scars… But now that Lilī's past is in the past, let's look to the future! We are searching for an active family for the pretty pug, where she will be a companion for short and long walks, as well as shared sports activities and lazy evenings. If the new home is a private home, then with a simple introduction, Lilī will be a small burden. As the former neighbors told, she was a bit of a handful, her fur would stick to everything, and she would even climb over it. Lilī can also be adopted to live in an apartment (the pug has spent nights in the hallway, sleeping even in the owner's bed), but in that case, the pug's training will be mandatory. Lilī is gentle and kind, but completely untrained. To put it simply – a pug whose new owners will not be too negatively affected by this word!

LV·Show original

About Lilī

What life with Lilī looks like

Lilī is a young adult dog waiting at Labās Mājas in Riga.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇱🇻Adopting from Latvia

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lilī, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lilī?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Labās Mājas handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lilī on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lilī if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Labās Mājas will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lilī already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lilī isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Labās Mājas early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lilī and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (LV). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
