Profesor Pomrukiewicz is a cat with a wise look. Most cats that come to our shelter Ekostraże are feral animals that have been sick, but also those that were owned and ended up in various accidents. Hit by a car, found somewhere on the roadside, often by people who wanted to help but couldn't afford the treatment. It is rare for such a cat to return to its home. Treatment is expensive, and people can't afford to save their pet. Profesor Pomrukiewicz came to us by chance, during an intervention concerning dogs. He was not the main "hero" of the report. Quiet, invisible, tied with a collar and leash, in an apartment where instead of gravel in the litter box there were old newspapers. The air smelled of neglect, and in his eyes there was sadness and resignation. On his neck, there was a mark from a collar that wasn't fully healed, but one he had worn too long, as if it were part of his body. He was castrated, bald, dirty, and thin. His ears still require treatment - it's already the second cycle we are conducting. But despite all that... Pomrukiewicz purrs. Gently and warmly. Profesor Pomrukiewicz to kot o mądrym spojrzeniu. Większość kotów, które trafiają do naszego azylu Ekostraży, to zwierzęta wolnożyjące, które dopadła choroba, ale też takie właścicielskie wychodzące, po różnych wypadkach. Potrącone przez samochód, znalezione gdzieś na poboczu, często przez ludzi, którzy chcieli pomóc, ale nie byli w stanie sfinansować leczenia. Rzadko kiedy taki kot wraca do swojego domu. Leczenie jest drogie, a ludzi nie stać na ratowanie swojego pupila. Profesor Pomrukiewicz trafił do nas zupełnie przypadkiem, podczas interwencji dotyczącej psów. Nie był głównym „bohaterem” zgłoszenia. Cichy, niewidoczny, uwiązany na obroży i sznurku, w mieszkaniu, gdzie zamiast żwirku w kuwecie leżały stare gazety. W powietrzu czuć było zapach zaniedbania, w jego oczach smutek i rezygnację. Na szyi miał ślad po obroży, nie wrośniętej, ale takiej, którą nosił zbyt długo, jakby była częścią jego ciała. Był zarobaczony, wyłysiały, brudny, wychudzony. Jego uszy do dziś wymagają leczenia – to już drugi cykl, który prowadzimy. Ale mimo tego wszystkiego… Pomrukiewicz mruczy. Delikatnie i ciepło. Ma w sobie spokój i tę mądrość, która sprawia, że nazwaliśmy go właśnie Profesorem Pomrukiewiczem. Jest wykastrowany i zaszczepiony. Testy fiv/felv ujemne
