WENDY

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

Wendy was found with her puppies on the street in Romania. Her puppies found homes quickly. Only she didn't. It's not really understandable! Currently, the beautiful Wendy lives in foster care in 97711 Poppenlauer. She settled in super quickly - she's a real magic snail! She gets along great with other dogs, cats, people, and teenagers. She's also housebroken and super leash-trained - as if she's never done anything else. Now Wendy is waiting for her home. Who falls in love with this sweetheart? Her handler Harald Merkel is looking forward to your inquiry via WhatsApp at 61 or by email to h.merkel.org You can also apply directly via our self-disclosure, which you can find here: www.seelentiere.org/vermittlung/selbstauskunft (copy the link and paste it in a new window). Wendy is spayed, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and chipped with an EU pet passport after a positive pre-check for a deposit fee of € 400.00. A 4 DX test (heartworm and Mediterranean diseases) was negative and the blood test was unremarkable. As of September 2026. Her eyes are naturally that color. They were checked by a veterinarian in Romania and also here in Germany. Wendy can be visited at any time, after receiving the self-disclosure and consultation with her foster care, in 97711 Poppenlauer.

About WENDY

What life with WENDY looks like

WENDY is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Seelentiere e.V. in Germany.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting WENDY, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about WENDY?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Seelentiere e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw WENDY on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt WENDY if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Seelentiere e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is WENDY already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if WENDY isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Seelentiere e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know WENDY and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
