Idun & Helia – Zuhause gefunden

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Location: Romania, Orastie Gender: both female, spayed Born: approximately April 2025 Character: very social towards other animals, no single housing! Both very open to people, like to be petted. Disability: none Hello dear people, I am the little moonlight cat Idun, my fur color is also called tortoiseshell. Me and three other cats (Dolly, Idun and Helia) lived on a property and were tolerated there. That means we haven't been chased away yet, we had to take care of ourselves. So we basically lived on the street. But something drastic has changed there now. One of the people got pigeons. Can you blame us? We hunted them because we were hungry. The family became very angry and threatened to leave us somewhere far outside the city. That would have been terrible because we would have had even fewer chances to find something to eat and we would have certainly had something bad happen to us. When the animal rescuer Manuela heard about it, she acted quickly and took us in. Now we can finally breathe easy. We had a vet check-up, were vaccinated and spayed, and now get regular food. Everything feels like a dream, but we now need to find a real home, because if we find a home, there will be space again at our foster home for further emergencies. All four of us are very social and wish for at least one cat friend in the future home. We would love to travel together as a pair. I, Idun and Helia are very open and cuddly. Only Dolly is a bit shy and reserved, she needs some time to get used to the new home. I would be happy if I could travel to you together with my tricolor friend Helia. We already have our first vaccinations against feline rhinotracheitis and leukemia, are spayed and when we travel to you, we will also have a microchip, a rabies vaccination and an EU pet passport. Until soon!. This animal is microchipped.

Standort: Rumänien, Orastie Geschlecht: beide weiblich, kastriert Geboren: ca. April 2025 Charakter: sehr sozial Artgenossen gegenüber, keine Einzelhaltung!

About Idun & Helia – Zuhause gefunden

What life with Idun & Helia – Zuhause gefunden looks like

Idun & Helia – Zuhause gefunden is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Seelenkatzen e.V. in Barsinghausen.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Idun & Helia – Zuhause gefunden, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Idun & Helia – Zuhause gefunden?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Seelenkatzen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Idun & Helia – Zuhause gefunden on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Idun & Helia – Zuhause gefunden if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Seelenkatzen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Idun & Helia – Zuhause gefunden already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Idun & Helia – Zuhause gefunden isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Seelenkatzen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Idun & Helia – Zuhause gefunden and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
