May 1. Helligdag ... og vi tænkte, at vi ville bruge den med at hvile. Vær ikke gal, Dougie havde brug for at blive reddet! Dougie er en charmerende blandet rasse hund med det sødeste ansigt. Han giver de mest venlige kysser, elsker et klem, og er stadig i gang med at vokse ind i sine lange ben og store ører. Han vil sandsynligvis blive en virkelig flink, majestætisk gut, når han måner. Vi arbejdede sammen med en anden redning for at få Dougie til sikkerhed fra hans tidligere hjem. Han blev holdt ude på en højhusbalcony snarere end inde i lejligheden, og da han kom, var han meget undervejet, han næsten sugede sin første rigtige måltid med os. Siden da har Dougie været gladelig i sin fostermor, hurtigt gjorde sig bekvem og en del af familien. Han deler nu sit fostermor med flere bulldogge, som er meget sociale og har velkommet ham med åbne kløer. Dougie elsker at spille med dem i haven og nyder et godt spil med sine legetøjer. Han vil gerne dele sin evige hjem med en anden hund. Som mange unge hunde er han en vidunderlig latterlig, grimser lads. Fuld af energi én øjeblik, så helt udmattet i sin kasse næste. Dougie besøgte netop dyrlægen for sine vaccinationer og charmrede alle, han træffede. Personale elskede ham umiddelbart, og praised hvordan sød og venlig han var. Han var fuldt ud upåvirket af sine injektioner og gav glade kysser og klemmer rundt. Mens han var lidt støjende under vejen, sendte hele opspændingen ham direkte i søvn under tilbagekørslen. Vi ved ikke præcis dyrkning for Dougie. Vi tror, at han har noget husky i sig, men derudover, er det enhver gæt. Han lærer stadig de finesser i hjemm livet, så han vil have en adopter, der er fast besluttet på at give struktur, grænser og vejledning for at hjælpe ham med at blive en velopdragen voksen. Dougie kan passe til en familie med børn, ideeltvis mellem 12 og opad. Han er venlig og social, men stadig meget en puppy, så han vil vise typiske puppy adfærd. Han er ikke blevet testet mod katte, men dette er noget, vi vil være glade for at arrangere for en mulig adopter.

He's the kind of boy who doesn't just enter a room… he arrives! 😍 He's grown into a big, exuberant young lad with a huge personality and plenty of energy, and yes… that can be a lot to handle. But behind all that bounce is a gorgeous young dog who simply needs the right person to help him channel all that enthusiasm into becoming the wonderful adult dog he's capable of being. 💪🐾 THE “SAVE THE SHOULDERS” PROGRAMME! Because Dougie, darling… We are NOT being dragged down the road, thank you very muchly! 🤪😂 So it's back to basics for this handsome boy. Engagement. Boundaries. Training. Consistency. Learning how to focus that busy brain. ❤️🐾 🐾 Dougie's story Dougie hasn't had the easiest start in life. As a puppy, he was abandoned on a balcony six floors up . 💔 Not exactly the start any little one deserves. From there, he went into foster, where he learned how to settle and live alongside the big girls — and now he's back with us, ready for the next stage of his journey. We're going to help him learn the ropes. ❤️🐾 Dougie is still only a baby in many ways. At just 8 months old , he has a lot of growing, learning and maturing still to do. He's big, he's strong and he's enthusiastic — but with the right guidance, structure and commitment, we believe this boy has the potential to become something really special. 🐶 A little bit about Dougie ❤️ 8 months old 🐾 Big, bouncy and full of personality 🎓 Back to basics with training and engagement 💪 Strong and enthusiastic 🐶 Active boy who needs an active lifestyle 🍖 Raw fed 💉 Vaccinated 📍 Microchipped 🏡 Currently in Nottinghamshire Dougie is going to need a very particular kind of home . This isn't a boy for a first-time dog owner. He needs someone who is experienced, confident and sensible around big, strong, enthusiastic dogs . Someone who understands that training isn't something you do for five minutes and then forget about. Someone who enjoys working with their dog. And someone who won't be overwhelmed when Dougie decides that excitement is the answer to absolutely everything! 😂❤️🐾 🏡 Dougie's ideal home Dougie needs a big home with a big dog lover . He needs space, structure, engagement and plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. You will probably need to accept that this rather large boy may eventually decide that your lap is actually his lap. 😳😂❤️ Dougie is not suitable for families with young children , simply because his size and enthusiasm could easily knock a little one over. He could potentially live with dog-savvy, sensible older children , ideally aged around 12–14 years and above , depending on the individual home and circumstances. ❤️ Could you be Dougie's person? It's easy to look at a bouncy, excitable young dog and think… But Dougie doesn't need someone who wants less dog. Someone who sees past the excitement and sees the young dog underneath. Someone who is prepared to invest time into training, engagement and consistency. Someone who can guide him without giving up on him.
