Dia de Maios… e pensámos que o passaríamos a relaxar. Não sejam tolos, Dougie precisava de ser resgatado! Dougie é um filhote de raça mista encantador com o rosto mais doce. Dá os beijos mais suaves, adora um abraço e ainda está a crescer nos seus longos pernas e grandes orelhas. Ele vai certamente tornar-se um rapaz verdadeiramente bonito e majestoso à medida que amadurece. Trabalhamos em conjunto com outra instituição de resgate para trazer Dougie para segurança da sua casa anterior. Ele tinha estado ao ar livre num terraço de prédio alto em vez de dentro do apartamento, e quando chegou, estava extremamente subnutrido, quase devorou a sua primeira refeição decente connosco. Desde então, Dougie adaptou-se magnificamente ao seu lar temporário, rapidamente fazendo-se confortável e parte da família. Atualmente, partilha o seu lar temporário com vários Bulldogs, que são muito sociáveis e acolheram-no com patas abertas. Dougie gosta de brincar com eles no jardim e aprecia um bom jogo de puxar com os seus brinquedos. Ele ficaria feliz a partilhar o seu lar para sempre com outro cão. Como muitos filhotes jovens, é um rapaz extraordinariamente bobo e engraçado. Cheio de energia num momento, depois completamente adormecido na sua caixa no seguinte. Dougie visitou recentemente o veterinário para as vacinas e encantou todos os que conheceu. O pessoal apaixonou-se por ele imediatamente, elogiando como era doce e gentil. Ficou completamente indiferente às suas injeções e ofereceu carinhos e abraços a todos. Enquanto estava um pouco barulhento durante a viagem, toda a excitação o levou diretamente a dormir durante o regresso. Não sabemos a raça exata de Dougie. Acreditamos que tenha algum Husky, mas além disso, é qualquer um quem possa adivinhar. Ele ainda está a aprender as nuances da vida em casa, por isso precisará de um adotante que esteja comprometido em fornecer estrutura, limites e orientação para o ajudar a crescer como um adulto bem comportado. Dougie pode ser adequado a uma família com crianças, idealmente com idade mínima de 12 anos. É amigável e sociável, mas ainda muito um filhote, por isso mostrará comportamentos típicos de filhote. Ainda não foi testado com gatos, mas isto é algo com que ficaríamos felizes em organizar para um possível adotante.

He's the kind of boy who doesn't just enter a room… he arrives! 😍 He's grown into a big, exuberant young lad with a huge personality and plenty of energy, and yes… that can be a lot to handle. But behind all that bounce is a gorgeous young dog who simply needs the right person to help him channel all that enthusiasm into becoming the wonderful adult dog he's capable of being. 💪🐾 THE “SAVE THE SHOULDERS” PROGRAMME! Because Dougie, darling… We are NOT being dragged down the road, thank you very muchly! 🤪😂 So it's back to basics for this handsome boy. Engagement. Boundaries. Training. Consistency. Learning how to focus that busy brain. ❤️🐾 🐾 Dougie's story Dougie hasn't had the easiest start in life. As a puppy, he was abandoned on a balcony six floors up . 💔 Not exactly the start any little one deserves. From there, he went into foster, where he learned how to settle and live alongside the big girls — and now he's back with us, ready for the next stage of his journey. We're going to help him learn the ropes. ❤️🐾 Dougie is still only a baby in many ways. At just 8 months old , he has a lot of growing, learning and maturing still to do. This isn't a boy for a first-time dog owner. He needs someone who is experienced, confident and sensible around big, strong, enthusiastic dogs . Someone who understands that training isn't something you do for five minutes and then forget about. Someone who enjoys working with their dog. And someone who won't be overwhelmed when Dougie decides that excitement is the answer to absolutely everything! 😂❤️🐾 🏡 Dougie's ideal home Dougie needs a big home with a big dog lover . He needs space, structure, engagement and plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. You will probably need to accept that this rather large boy may eventually decide that your lap is actually his lap. 😳😂❤️ Dougie is not suitable for families with young children , simply because his size and enthusiasm could easily knock a little one over. He could potentially live with dog-savvy, sensible older children , ideally aged around 12–14 years and above , depending on the individual home and circumstances. ❤️ Could you be Dougie's person? It's easy to look at a bouncy, excitable young dog and think… But Dougie doesn't need someone who wants less dog. Someone who sees past the excitement and sees the young dog underneath. Someone who is prepared to invest time into training, engagement and consistency. Someone who can guide him without giving up on him.
