Pâques… et nous pensions passer la journée en relaxation. Ne soyez pas bête, Dougie avait besoin d'être sauvé ! Dougie est un charmant chiot croisé avec le plus doux visage. Il fait les plus douces caresses, adore les câlin et est encore en train de grandir ses longues pattes et grandes oreilles. Il deviendra certainement un garçon vraiment séduisant et majestueux lorsqu'il maturera. Nous avons travaillé avec une autre association pour amener Dougie en sécurité depuis son ancienne maison. Il avait été tenu à l'extérieur sur un balcon en hauteur au lieu d'être à l'intérieur de l'appartement, et lorsqu'il est arrivé, il était extrêmement maigre, il a pratiquement dévoré son premier repas convenable avec nous. Depuis, Dougie s'est parfaitement adapté à sa famille d'accueil, s'est rapidement installé et est devenu membre de la famille. Il partage actuellement sa famille d'accueil avec plusieurs Bulldogs, qui sont très sociables et l'ont accueilli avec des pattes ouvertes. Dougie aime jouer avec eux dans le jardin et apprécie un bon jeu de tir avec ses jouets. Il serait heureux de partager sa maison pour toujours avec un autre chien. Comme beaucoup de chiots jeunes, il est un garçon merveilleusement bête et drôle. Plein d'énergie un moment, puis complètement endormi dans sa cage le suivant. Dougie a récemment rendu visite au vétérinaire pour ses vaccinations et a charmé tout le monde qu'il a rencontré. Le personnel l'a immédiatement aimé, louant à quel point il était doux et gentil. Il n'était pas du tout perturbé par ses injections et a joyeusement distribué des baisers et des câlins autour de lui. Bien qu'il ait été un peu bruyant pendant le voyage, l'excitation l'a envoyé directement dormir pendant le retour. Nous ne connaissons pas exactement les origines de Dougie. Nous croyons qu'il a un peu de Husky, mais au-delà de cela, c'est un mystère. Il apprend encore les subtilités de la vie à la maison, donc il aura besoin d'un adoptant qui est engagé à fournir une structure, des limites et des directives pour l'aider à devenir un adulte bien élevé. Dougie pourrait être adapté à une famille avec des enfants, idéalement âgés de 12 ans et plus. Il est amical et sociable, mais reste très jeune chiot, donc il montrera des comportements typiques de chiot. Il n'a pas encore été testé avec des chats, mais c'est quelque chose dont nous serions contents d'arranger pour un futur adoptant.

He's the kind of boy who doesn't just enter a room… he arrives! 😍 He's grown into a big, exuberant young lad with a huge personality and plenty of energy, and yes… that can be a lot to handle. But behind all that bounce is a gorgeous young dog who simply needs the right person to help him channel all that enthusiasm into becoming the wonderful adult dog he's capable of being. 💪🐾 THE “SAVE THE SHOULDERS” PROGRAMME! Because Dougie, darling… We are NOT being dragged down the road, thank you very muchly! 🤪😂 So it's back to basics for this handsome boy. Engagement. Boundaries. Training. Consistency. Learning how to focus that busy brain. ❤️🐾 🐾 Dougie's story Dougie hasn't had the easiest start in life. As a puppy, he was abandoned on a balcony six floors up . 💔 Not exactly the start any little one deserves. From there, he went into foster, where he learned how to settle and live alongside the big girls — and now he's back with us, ready for the next stage of his journey. We're going to help him learn the ropes. ❤️🐾 Dougie is still only a baby in many ways. At just 8 months old , he has a lot of growing, learning and maturing still to do. This isn't a boy for a first-time dog owner. He needs someone who is experienced, confident and sensible around big, strong, enthusiastic dogs . Someone who understands that training isn't something you do for five minutes and then forget about. Someone who enjoys working with their dog. And someone who won't be overwhelmed when Dougie decides that excitement is the answer to absolutely everything! 😂❤️🐾 🏡 Dougie's ideal home Dougie needs a big home with a big dog lover . He needs space, structure, engagement and plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. You will probably need to accept that this rather large boy may eventually decide that your lap is actually his lap. 😳😂❤️ Dougie is not suitable for families with young children , simply because his size and enthusiasm could easily knock a little one over. He could potentially live with dog-savvy, sensible older children , ideally aged around 12–14 years and above , depending on the individual home and circumstances. ❤️ Could you be Dougie's person? It's easy to look at a bouncy, excitable young dog and think… But Dougie doesn't need someone who wants less dog. Someone who sees past the excitement and sees the young dog underneath. Someone who is prepared to invest time into training, engagement and consistency. Someone who can guide him without giving up on him.
