Maytag Feiertag … und wir dachten, wir würden es entspannen. Seien Sie nicht albern, Dougie brauchte gerettet zu werden! Dougie ist ein charmantes Mischlingsjunges mit dem süßesten Gesicht. Er gibt die sanftesten Küsse, liebt eine Kuschel und wächst noch in seine langen Beine und großen Ohren hinein. Er wird sich bestimmt zu einem wirklich attraktiven, majestätischen Jungen entwickeln, sobald er erwachsen ist. Wir haben mit einer anderen Rettungsorganisation zusammengearbeitet, um Dougie in Sicherheit zu bringen aus seinem vorherigen Zuhause. Er war auf einem Hochhaus-Balkon gehalten worden, anstatt im Apartment, und als er kam, war er sehr untergewichtig, praktisch verschluckte er sein erstes richtige Mahlzeit mit uns. Seitdem hat sich Dougie wunderbar in seiner Pflegefamilie eingewöhnt, und hat sich schnell geborgen und Teil der Familie gefühlt. Er teilt momentan seine Pflegefamilie mit mehreren Bulldogs, die sehr gesellig sind und ihn mit offenen Pfoten begrüßt haben. Dougie liebt es, mit ihnen im Garten zu spielen und genießt ein gutes Spielzeug-Ziehen-Spiel. Er würde gerne seinen endgültigen Zuhause mit einem anderen Hund teilen. Wie viele junge Welpen ist er ein wundervoll alberner, geisterhafter Junge. Voll Energie einen Moment, dann vollständig eingeschlafen in seinem Käfig den nächsten. Dougie besuchte kürzlich den Tierarzt für seine Impfungen und bezauberte alle, die er traf. Das Personal verliebte sich sofort in ihn und lobte, wie süß und sanft er war. Er war völlig unbeeindruckt von seinen Injektionen und verteilte freudig Küsse und Kuscheleien. Während des Weges dorthin war er etwas laut, aber die Aufregung brachte ihn auf dem Rückweg direkt zum Schlafen. Wir wissen nicht genau, welche Rasse Dougie hat. Wir glauben, dass er etwas Husky in sich hat, aber darüber hinaus, ist es jedem egal. Er lernt noch die Grundlagen des Lebens im Haus, sodass er einen Adoptanten benötigt, der bereit ist, Struktur, Grenzen und Anleitung zu bieten, um ihm zu helfen, zu einem ordentlichen Erwachsenen zu werden. Dougie könnte für eine Familie mit Kindern geeignet sein, idealerweise im Alter von 12 und älter. Er ist freundlich und gesellig, aber immer noch sehr ein Welpe, also zeigt er typische Welpenverhalten. Er wurde noch nicht auf Katzen getestet, aber dies wäre etwas, das wir für einen potenziellen Adoptanten gerne arrangieren würden.

He's the kind of boy who doesn't just enter a room… he arrives! 😍 He's grown into a big, exuberant young lad with a huge personality and plenty of energy, and yes… that can be a lot to handle. But behind all that bounce is a gorgeous young dog who simply needs the right person to help him channel all that enthusiasm into becoming the wonderful adult dog he's capable of being. 💪🐾 THE “SAVE THE SHOULDERS” PROGRAMME! Because Dougie, darling… We are NOT being dragged down the road, thank you very muchly! 🤪😂 So it's back to basics for this handsome boy. Engagement. Boundaries. Training. Consistency. Learning how to focus that busy brain. ❤️🐾 🐾 Dougie's story Dougie hasn't had the easiest start in life. As a puppy, he was abandoned on a balcony six floors up . 💔 Not exactly the start any little one deserves. From there, he went into foster, where he learned how to settle and live alongside the big girls — and now he's back with us, ready for the next stage of his journey. We're going to help him learn the ropes. ❤️🐾 Dougie is still only a baby in many ways. At just 8 months old , he has a lot of growing, learning and maturing still to do. This isn't a boy for a first-time dog owner. He needs someone who is experienced, confident and sensible around big, strong, enthusiastic dogs . Someone who understands that training isn't something you do for five minutes and then forget about. Someone who enjoys working with their dog. And someone who won't be overwhelmed when Dougie decides that excitement is the answer to absolutely everything! 😂❤️🐾 🏡 Dougie's ideal home Dougie needs a big home with a big dog lover . He needs space, structure, engagement and plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. You will probably need to accept that this rather large boy may eventually decide that your lap is actually his lap. 😳😂❤️ Dougie is not suitable for families with young children , simply because his size and enthusiasm could easily knock a little one over. He could potentially live with dog-savvy, sensible older children , ideally aged around 12–14 years and above , depending on the individual home and circumstances. ❤️ Could you be Dougie's person? It's easy to look at a bouncy, excitable young dog and think… But Dougie doesn't need someone who wants less dog. Someone who sees past the excitement and sees the young dog underneath. Someone who is prepared to invest time into training, engagement and consistency. Someone who can guide him without giving up on him.
