Día de Mayo, festivo bancario... y pensamos pasarlo relajándonos. ¡No seas tonto, Dougie necesitaba ser rescatado! Dougie es un cachorro de raza cruzada encantador con la cara más dulce. Da los besos más suaves, le encanta un abrazo y todavía está creciendo en sus patas largas y grandes orejas. Seguro que se convertirá en un chico verdaderamente guapo y majestuoso cuando madure. Trabajamos junto a otra rescate para llevar a Dougie a seguridad de su hogar anterior. Había estado mantenido afuera en un balcón de un edificio alto en lugar de dentro del apartamento, y cuando llegó, estaba muy desnutrido, prácticamente devoró su primera comida adecuada con nosotros. Desde entonces, Dougie se ha adaptado maravillosamente a su hogar de acogida, haciendo rápidamente suyo el lugar y convirtiéndose en parte de la familia. Actualmente comparte su hogar de acogida con varios Bulldogs, que son muy sociables y lo han recibido con brazos abiertos. A Dougie le encanta jugar con ellos en el jardín y disfruta mucho de un buen juego de tirar con sus juguetes. Estaría encantado de compartir su hogar para siempre con otro perro. Como muchos cachorros jóvenes, es un chico maravillosamente tonto y divertido. Lleno de energía en un momento, y completamente dormido en su caja al siguiente. Recientemente Dougie visitó al veterinario para sus vacunas y encantó a todos los que conoció. El personal se enamoró de él inmediatamente, elogiando lo dulce y gentil que era. No se dejó afectar por sus vacunas y felizmente repartió besos y abrazos a diestro y siniestro. Aunque fue un poco ruidoso en el trayecto allí, la emoción lo envió directamente a dormir en el regreso. No sabemos la raza exacta de Dougie. Creemos que tiene algo de Husky, pero más allá de eso, es cualquier suposición. Aún está aprendiendo las normas de la vida en casa, por lo tanto necesitará un adoptante comprometido a proporcionar estructura, límites y guía para ayudarlo a convertirse en un adulto bien educado. Dougie podría estar indicado para una familia con niños, idealmente mayores de 12 años. Es amigable y sociable, pero aún muy mucho un cachorro, así que mostrará comportamientos típicos de cachorro. Aún no ha sido probado con gatos, pero esto es algo con lo que estaríamos encantados de organizar para un posible adoptante.

He's the kind of boy who doesn't just enter a room… he arrives! 😍 He's grown into a big, exuberant young lad with a huge personality and plenty of energy, and yes… that can be a lot to handle. But behind all that bounce is a gorgeous young dog who simply needs the right person to help him channel all that enthusiasm into becoming the wonderful adult dog he's capable of being. 💪🐾 THE “SAVE THE SHOULDERS” PROGRAMME! Because Dougie, darling… We are NOT being dragged down the road, thank you very muchly! 🤪😂 So it's back to basics for this handsome boy. Engagement. Boundaries. Training. Consistency. Learning how to focus that busy brain. ❤️🐾 🐾 Dougie's story Dougie hasn't had the easiest start in life. As a puppy, he was abandoned on a balcony six floors up . 💔 Not exactly the start any little one deserves. From there, he went into foster, where he learned how to settle and live alongside the big girls — and now he's back with us, ready for the next stage of his journey. We're going to help him learn the ropes. ❤️🐾 Dougie is still only a baby in many ways. At just 8 months old , he has a lot of growing, learning and maturing still to do. This isn't a boy for a first-time dog owner. He needs someone who is experienced, confident and sensible around big, strong, enthusiastic dogs . Someone who understands that training isn't something you do for five minutes and then forget about. Someone who enjoys working with their dog. And someone who won't be overwhelmed when Dougie decides that excitement is the answer to absolutely everything! 😂❤️🐾 🏡 Dougie's ideal home Dougie needs a big home with a big dog lover . He needs space, structure, engagement and plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. You will probably need to accept that this rather large boy may eventually decide that your lap is actually his lap. 😳😂❤️ Dougie is not suitable for families with young children , simply because his size and enthusiasm could easily knock a little one over. He could potentially live with dog-savvy, sensible older children , ideally aged around 12–14 years and above , depending on the individual home and circumstances. ❤️ Could you be Dougie's person? It's easy to look at a bouncy, excitable young dog and think… But Dougie doesn't need someone who wants less dog. Someone who sees past the excitement and sees the young dog underneath. Someone who is prepared to invest time into training, engagement and consistency. Someone who can guide him without giving up on him.
