Świąteczny przymus – i myśleliśmy, że spędziśmy go w relaksie. Nie bądź głupi, Dougie potrzebował ratunku! Dougie to uroczy pies rasowy z najpiękniejszym twarzy. Daje najdelikatniejsze pocałunki, lubi przytulanki i jeszcze się rośnie na swoich długich nogach i wielkich uszach. Z czasem pewnie stanie się prawdziwie uroczym, majestatycznym chłopakiem. Pracowaliśmy razem z inną organizacją ratunkową, by przetransportować Dougiego w bezpieczne miejsce z jego poprzedniego domu. Był trzymany na zewnątrz na wysokim balonie zamiast w mieszkaniu, a gdy do nas przyszedł, był bardzo chudy, praktycznie połknął swoje pierwsze prawidłowe posiłek. Od tego czasu Dougie świetnie zaaklimatyzował się w opiekunskim domu, szybko znudził się i stał się częścią rodziny. Obecnie dzieli swój opiekunski dom z kilkoma bulldogami, które są bardzo społeczne i przyjęły go otwartymi łapami. Dougie lubi grać z nimi w ogrodzie i cieszy się dobrym graniem w sznurki z zabawkami. Chętnie podzieliłby swoją wieczystą rodzinę z innym psem. Tak jak wiele młodych psów, jest wspaniale głupią, zabawnym chłopakiem. Pełen energii w jednej chwili, a potem całkowicie wypoczął w swojej klatce w następnej. Dougie niedawno odwiedził weterynarza na szczepienia i zachwycił wszystkich, których spotkał. Personel zakochał się w nim od razu, chwaląc jak miły i delikatny był. Wcale się nie bojąc iniekcji, radośnie rozdawał pocałunki i przytulanki wokoło. Choć trochę hałasował w drodze tam, wszystka ekscytacja powiedziała mu wdrętwienie w drodze powrotnej. Nie wiemy dokładnie rasowego pochodzenia Dougiego. Myślmy, że ma trochę husky, ale poza tym, to każdy może zgadywać. Jest nadal uczący się zasad życia w domu, więc będzie potrzebował adoptera, który będzie zobowiązany do zapewnienia struktury, granic i porad, aby pomóc mu stać się dobrze wychowanym dorosłym. Dougie może być odpowiedni dla rodziny z dziećmi, najlepiej w wieku 12 lat i więcej. Jest przyjazny i społeczny, ale nadal bardzo młody pies, więc będzie wykazywał typowe zachowania młodego psa. Nie został jeszcze przetestowany na obecność kota, ale to coś, co będziemy chętnie ustalić dla potencjalnego adoptera.

He's the kind of boy who doesn't just enter a room… he arrives! 😍 He's grown into a big, exuberant young lad with a huge personality and plenty of energy, and yes… that can be a lot to handle. But behind all that bounce is a gorgeous young dog who simply needs the right person to help him channel all that enthusiasm into becoming the wonderful adult dog he's capable of being. 💪🐾 THE “SAVE THE SHOULDERS” PROGRAMME! Because Dougie, darling… We are NOT being dragged down the road, thank you very muchly! 🤪😂 So it's back to basics for this handsome boy. Engagement. Boundaries. Training. Consistency. Learning how to focus that busy brain. ❤️🐾 🐾 Dougie's story Dougie hasn't had the easiest start in life. As a puppy, he was abandoned on a balcony six floors up . 💔 Not exactly the start any little one deserves. From there, he went into foster, where he learned how to settle and live alongside the big girls — and now he's back with us, ready for the next stage of his journey. We're going to help him learn the ropes. ❤️🐾 Dougie is still only a baby in many ways. At just 8 months old , he has a lot of growing, learning and maturing still to do. This isn't a boy for a first-time dog owner. He needs someone who is experienced, confident and sensible around big, strong, enthusiastic dogs . Someone who understands that training isn't something you do for five minutes and then forget about. Someone who enjoys working with their dog. And someone who won't be overwhelmed when Dougie decides that excitement is the answer to absolutely everything! 😂❤️🐾 🏡 Dougie's ideal home Dougie needs a big home with a big dog lover . He needs space, structure, engagement and plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. You will probably need to accept that this rather large boy may eventually decide that your lap is actually his lap. 😳😂❤️ Dougie is not suitable for families with young children , simply because his size and enthusiasm could easily knock a little one over. He could potentially live with dog-savvy, sensible older children , ideally aged around 12–14 years and above , depending on the individual home and circumstances. ❤️ Could you be Dougie's person? It's easy to look at a bouncy, excitable young dog and think… But Dougie doesn't need someone who wants less dog. Someone who sees past the excitement and sees the young dog underneath. Someone who is prepared to invest time into training, engagement and consistency. Someone who can guide him without giving up on him.
