Majdagslovet… och vi tänkte spendera det på att vila. Var inte galen, Dougie behövde räddas! Dougie är en charmig blandraspups med det sögaste ansiktet. Han ger de mjukaste kyssarna, älskar en kram och växer fortfarande in i sina långa ben och stora öron. Han kommer att bli en riktigt vacker, majestätisk pojke när han vuxit. Vi arbetade tillsammans med en annan räddning för att få Douglas till säkerhet från hans tidigare hem. Han hade hållits ute på en höghusbalong istället för inne i lägenheten, och när han kom till oss var han mycket underviktig, han andades nästan upp sitt första riktiga mål med oss. Sedan har Douglas härligt anpassat sig till sin fostermamma, snabbt gjort sig bekväm och en del av familjen. Han bor just nu i fosterhemmet tillsammans med flera bulldoggar som är mycket sociala och har välkomnat honom med öppna pinnar. Douglas älskar att spela med dem i trädgården och njuter av en bra draglek med sina leksaker. Han skulle gärna dela sitt eviga hem med en annan hund. Som många unga pupper är han en fräck, lurig pojke. Full av energi en stund, sedan helt utmattad i sin bur nästa. Douglas besökte nyligen veterinären för sina vaccinationer och charmerade alla han träffade. Personalen blev direkt förtrollad av honom, och hyllade hur snäll och mjuk han var. Han var fullständigt oberörd av sina injektioner och gav gladeligt kyssar och kramar runt omkring. Även om han var lite ljudlig på resan dit, skickade all upphetsning honom direkt till sömn på vägen tillbaka. Vi vet inte exakt vilken rasDouglas är. Vi tror att han har något husky i sig, men utanför det är det någons gissning. Han lär sig fortfarande de inre grunderna i hemlivet, så han behöver en adoptant som är engagerad i att ge struktur, gränser och vägledning för att hjälpa honom att växa till en väluppförd vuxen. Douglas kan passa en familj med barn, helst åldern 12 och uppåt. Han är vänlig och social, men fortfarande mycket en hundung, så han kommer att visa typiska hundungbeteenden. Han har ännu inte testats mot katter, men detta är något vi är glada att kunna arrangera för en intresserad adoptant.

He's the kind of boy who doesn't just enter a room… he arrives! 😍 He's grown into a big, exuberant young lad with a huge personality and plenty of energy, and yes… that can be a lot to handle. But behind all that bounce is a gorgeous young dog who simply needs the right person to help him channel all that enthusiasm into becoming the wonderful adult dog he's capable of being. 💪🐾 THE “SAVE THE SHOULDERS” PROGRAMME! Because Dougie, darling… We are NOT being dragged down the road, thank you very muchly! 🤪😂 So it's back to basics for this handsome boy. Engagement. Boundaries. Training. Consistency. Learning how to focus that busy brain. ❤️🐾 🐾 Dougie's story Dougie hasn't had the easiest start in life. As a puppy, he was abandoned on a balcony six floors up . 💔 Not exactly the start any little one deserves. From there, he went into foster, where he learned how to settle and live alongside the big girls — and now he's back with us, ready for the next stage of his journey. We're going to help him learn the ropes. ❤️🐾 Dougie is still only a baby in many ways. At just 8 months old , he has a lot of growing, learning and maturing still to do. This isn't a boy for a first-time dog owner. He needs someone who is experienced, confident and sensible around big, strong, enthusiastic dogs . Someone who understands that training isn't something you do for five minutes and then forget about. Someone who enjoys working with their dog. And someone who won't be overwhelmed when Dougie decides that excitement is the answer to absolutely everything! 😂❤️🐾 🏡 Dougie's ideal home Dougie needs a big home with a big dog lover . He needs space, structure, engagement and plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. You will probably need to accept that this rather large boy may eventually decide that your lap is actually his lap. 😳😂❤️ Dougie is not suitable for families with young children , simply because his size and enthusiasm could easily knock a little one over. He could potentially live with dog-savvy, sensible older children , ideally aged around 12–14 years and above , depending on the individual home and circumstances. ❤️ Could you be Dougie's person? It's easy to look at a bouncy, excitable young dog and think… But Dougie doesn't need someone who wants less dog. Someone who sees past the excitement and sees the young dog underneath. Someone who is prepared to invest time into training, engagement and consistency. Someone who can guide him without giving up on him.
