May Day Bank Holiday… en we dachten dat we het zouden doorbrengen met ontspanning. Wees niet belachelijk, Dougie had redding nodig! Dougie is een charmante kruisbodige pup met het liefste gezichtje. Hij geeft de zachtste kusjes, houdt van knuffels en groeit nog in zijn lange benen en grote oren. Hij zal waarschijnlijk een echt knappe, majestueuze jongen worden als hij volwassen is. We hebben samen gewerkt met een andere reddingsactie om Dougie veilig te brengen uit zijn vorige huis. Hij was op een hoogbouwbalcony buiten gehouden in plaats van binnen in de flat, en toen hij aankwam was hij extreem mager, hij slikte zijn eerste echte maaltijd bij ons praktisch op. Sindsdien is Dougie prachtig aangekomen in zijn tijdelijke opvang, snel zichzelf comfortabel gemaakt en onderdeel van de familie geworden. Hij woont momenteel in opvang met verschillende bulldogs, die erg sociaal zijn en hem met open pootjes hebben verwelkomd. Dougie houdt ervan om met ze te spelen in de tuin en geniet van een goed spelletje trekkens met zijn speelgoed. Hij zou graag zijn eeuwige huis delen met een andere hond. Zoals veel jonge pups is hij een wonderlijk grappige, gekke jongen. Vol energie op het ene moment, dan weer volledig in slaap gevallen in zijn kooi. Dougie bezocht onlangs de dierenarts voor zijn vaccinaties en verleidde iedereen die hij ontmoette. Het personeel viel direct verliefd op hem, hij kreeg lof voor hoe lief en zacht hij was. Hij liet zich niet van de wijs brengen door zijn injecties en gaf enthousiast kusjes en knuffels aan iedereen. Hoewel hij een beetje lawaai maakte tijdens de rit erheen, stuurde al het opwinding hem rechtstreeks naar slapen tijdens de terugrit. We weten niet precies wat Dougies afkomst is. We denken dat hij iets husky in zich heeft, maar verder is het ieders gok. Hij leert nog de feinheiten van het huiskamp kennen, dus hij heeft een adoptant nodig die vastberaden is om structuur, grenzen en begeleiding te bieden om hem te helpen om te groeien tot een goed gedragneerde volwassene. Dougie kan geschikt zijn voor een gezin met kinderen, idealiter van 12 jaar en ouder. Hij is vriendelijk en sociaal, maar nog steeds heel erg een pup, dus hij zal typische puppygedrag vertonen. Hij is nog niet getest op katten, maar dit is iets waar we graag voor zouden zorgen voor een mogelijke adoptant.

He's the kind of boy who doesn't just enter a room… he arrives! 😍 He's grown into a big, exuberant young lad with a huge personality and plenty of energy, and yes… that can be a lot to handle. But behind all that bounce is a gorgeous young dog who simply needs the right person to help him channel all that enthusiasm into becoming the wonderful adult dog he's capable of being. 💪🐾 THE “SAVE THE SHOULDERS” PROGRAMME! Because Dougie, darling… We are NOT being dragged down the road, thank you very muchly! 🤪😂 So it's back to basics for this handsome boy. Engagement. Boundaries. Training. Consistency. Learning how to focus that busy brain. ❤️🐾 🐾 Dougie's story Dougie hasn't had the easiest start in life. As a puppy, he was abandoned on a balcony six floors up . 💔 Not exactly the start any little one deserves. From there, he went into foster, where he learned how to settle and live alongside the big girls — and now he's back with us, ready for the next stage of his journey. We're going to help him learn the ropes. ❤️🐾 Dougie is still only a baby in many ways. At just 8 months old , he has a lot of growing, learning and maturing still to do. This isn't a boy for a first-time dog owner. He needs someone who is experienced, confident and sensible around big, strong, enthusiastic dogs . Someone who understands that training isn't something you do for five minutes and then forget about. Someone who enjoys working with their dog. And someone who won't be overwhelmed when Dougie decides that excitement is the answer to absolutely everything! 😂❤️🐾 🏡 Dougie's ideal home Dougie needs a big home with a big dog lover . He needs space, structure, engagement and plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. You will probably need to accept that this rather large boy may eventually decide that your lap is actually his lap. 😳😂❤️ Dougie is not suitable for families with young children , simply because his size and enthusiasm could easily knock a little one over. He could potentially live with dog-savvy, sensible older children , ideally aged around 12–14 years and above , depending on the individual home and circumstances. ❤️ Could you be Dougie's person? It's easy to look at a bouncy, excitable young dog and think… But Dougie doesn't need someone who wants less dog. Someone who sees past the excitement and sees the young dog underneath. Someone who is prepared to invest time into training, engagement and consistency. Someone who can guide him without giving up on him.
